This past weekend the Socks Addicts embarked on a mission to bring the knowledge of the power held within socks to the many participants of the Dexter-Ann Arbor Run.
Held in Pioneer High School’s gym, participants flooded the floor to view booths ranging from running gear to other upcoming races to smoothies. Also present at the expo was 1972 gold medal winner, Frank Shorter. Shorter signed autographs and took pictures for those whom waited in line to meet the American distance running legend.
The expo was open from Noon to 6 and our booth had consistent traffic. Similar to the Cleveland Expo, our SmartWool bargain bins were a huge hit, as many people dug through to find socks.
Another brand that sold real well was Feetures. I found great joy in watching people’s reactions when they felt the sock for the first time – Lots of wowed faces. Seriously, if you’ve yet to experience the greatness of Feetures, get on it!
The brands we had on hand at the expo were: SmartWool, Feetures, Drymax, WrightSock, CEP, Zensah, Wigwam, Injinji, and Fox River.
As always we had a great time and look forward to showcasing socks at more expos in the future.
